Why Powerline Communication?
According to network industry projections, powerline communication (plc) technology is going to be a
multi-billion dollar industry within a very short time. One article said that power-line would impact the home as
strongly as television did in the 1950's.
PLC Networking will use the common acplug-outlet to network home unity. Every room of
every house, on the average, has 3 electrical power sockets. Computers, internet, appliances, homenetgames, modem,
lights, security, utilities, powerline-radios, and an array of unthoughtof digital home plug and play products will bring
home network communication to reality. Consumers are eager for the kind of product that simply plugs into the

Europe is already well on its way using ac/dc powerlines (wireline) for inhome web digital communication. This is causing a rapid
