    Intel and Bell Canada to keynote conference recognizing the important role of the alliance's "proven worldwide standards" in the digital home ecosystem

    SAN RAMON, CA- Aug 2, 2005 - The HomePlug® Powerline Alliance today announced that The HomePlug Powerline Technology Conference, "Proven Worldwide Standards", will be held September 27-28, 2005, at The San Francisco Airport Embassy Suites.

    Keynote speakers at the conference will include:

    • Donald J. MacDonald, vice president and general manager, Digital Home Group, Intel Corporation
    • Bradley Fisher, vice president of Consumer Services Development, Bell Canada

    The two-day HomePlug Powerline Technology Conference will feature expert speakers and panelists from multiple industries, who will explain why companies are interested in leveraging HomePlug technology in their respective fields of business. Conference attendees will also learn about what the industry views as the most compelling uses and ideas in the fast-growing powerline communications market, the latest details of the much-anticipated HomePlug AV technology, and why the industry is viewing HomePlug as a backbone networking technology for both to-the-home and in-the-home applications.
